DJ Lovely has been in the game since 2003. He started to DJ in the early days of grime music, when he was resident DJ on pirate radio stations Laylow FM and GetGrime. Soon after starting to DJ he got a copy of music production software and learnt how to make the music he was playing, occasionally cutting 10” dub plates for his shows. In 2007 he put away his grime records and started looking at drum and bass. Along with DJing across the UK, he has released 8 tracks on record labels in the UK, Europe and USA. His music reflects the early days of grime at a faster tempo: simple and gritty.
Now in Hong Kong, DJ Lovely has DJed across the city and is now focusing on working with both local and foreign performers to bring more underground music to the area through his own night.
