Chz - Stepping Mellow

So thought I'd put this one up first. What do you guys think, any feedback would help me on my current projects. Trying to work on getting a tighter mix.

I quite enjoyed it...
My only crit would be the open hi-hats: I don't think they fit with the beat. Don't be afraid to use a really standard, unoriginal beat in your track, there's a reason everyone uses them.

Haha cheers mate. Yeah I go back and listen to it now and then, and it's something that now sticks out like a sore thumb the open hats.

Nice track, I dig mellow. Like the chord progression and the dreamy pianolead over it, that definitely works! I've noticed your track is very centered, basically all percussion is dead in the center of the stereofield. You got for example those small bongolike sounds with an echo/reverb touch here and there. Things like that I'd personally pan to the left or right a bit. Same with hi hat sounds and ghost snare hits. Doesn't have to be much, just enough to give them each their own place in the center.
