No idea, kinda wondering aswell. I've always used MSN (and so do everyone I know) but all the dnbheads seem to be using AIM. That's why I made one aswell haha.

It was always better for file transfers, you could send more at a better speed, and if it failed it could resume from where it left off

I dont know if MSN does that now, but at the time it didnt, so AIM became the standard

yeah, plus you don't have to accept everything, you can set it that everything automatically gets accepted, and downloaded to a preset folder. Or you can send an invitation to set up a filetransfer link, so everything in the IM is automatically accepted and downloaded.
