DnB 90s or early 00s darkstep?

I'm looking for 1990s or early 2000s darkstep producers/collectives on the slower side or with the fast parts muffled, the latter part meaning the bass/lower-mids is sufficiently prevalent that it's--easy--to focus on. I've been listening at mixes and playlists of darkstep that I consider only including some darkstep and contain significant portion of other genre, and sometimes doing the classic "remix" of only including what's "remixed" in the beginning and the vast majority is almost exclusively something else.
