Theres no rules or correct way to do this so its all personal taste. However, the bassline looks to be in C Major (all the white notes). As I said i'm no theory expert and I'm sure another poster will chip in and put me straight but....

3rd and 5th chord sound a little off to me
Changes :

1. Removed inversion of third chord placing D2 on D3
2. Moved D3 to C3 on final chord so you are playing fifths, on two octaves
These sound much smoother to my ear and a little less discordant.
Can't recommend the course below highly enough. You can easily find vouchers online to get it for around Really not as heavy as you would expect and gives you a solid base for this sort of thing. The lesson on perfect fifths is free as a preview which might help on the second chord I tweaked.

Fourth chord looks fine but is still not the most pleasant sound, I would switch for the following but thats really starting to change your track which isn't what you asked for.

Hope that helps in some way. Please feel free to completely ignore me
