Data's new album to be his last release

on the positive side sentinel will be on the album, i suspect big things from it.

if he's going out then i hope he goes all guns blazing
 
Surely if he enjoys making music that much then he'd still be doing it?

And being that no one will release it, perhaps put it out for free? :teeth:
 
very sad news..

Not that I know anything at all about record labels or stuff like that.. but couldnt he just do something like what Break's done and start his own label for his releases?
 
Goldie threw Redeyes down some stairs, thats dnb folklore, Roni Size threw his missus down some stairs if i remember.

Think this just might be a revalation to some of the elder statesmen to the scene that the state of how music in general has changed, and lets be honest its changed rather dramatically of the last few years, its not a hidden fact but maybe its finally hit our little scene thats dnb, its not a case of 'getting' paid' morals play a big part here too, if morals have been abused then we must issue them, its not just a case of well just make your own label, much of dnb was formed through freind ships over decades , which is why we sit here today, and snort overly critiqued music to pass off the time in our offices or lappy's when buffering niche porn, kinda make all the hard work irrelevant
 
Not the the ideal news to wake up to..good luck to him, lets hope for a return...also yeh on the boycotting of the haterrrs. Dnb has no room for people creating negative vibes like this.

This generally doesn't suprise me, theres a lot snobbery in some local scenes so I can fully believe this sort of stuff goes on.
 
Very sad news, i got a couple of producion lessons from him last year and he's sound as fuck......he did say quite a bit about how people in the scene fuck you about. Was saying about how producers don't get royalities for tunes and how labels try and give you as little as possible, apprantley for compassion he had to keep sending goldie's contract's back to him because they were such a piss take.

Look what happened to Alex Reece... the game's run by very few people. Shame cos it limits the genre.

It was just that kind of a day for him and he shared some feelings thru facebook... He's talented and I hope he will forget all that and move along, creating some great music :)
