Probably because it doesn't make them as much money as say House or Trance.

ah c HMV in bromley sucks. but im pretty sure it dnt av 1. it wld make muny... i mean cummon virgin has a male jewish choir section im sure it cld stretch to dnb

cause DnB/Jungle fuckin' sucks. ;)

we tend to have that problem here in LA, but there's a new store bout half an hour from me that specializes in DnB. :lighter:

got a friend who orders dance vinyl for HMV central melbourne, and it simply does not shift reliable units. all the dNb heads know where to go anyway, no one wants to battle the general public when purchasing vinyl, it is not pleasant imo.

WEl i spose its gd that we all got sum type of muzik dwnload program then cos the shops aint helpin us much isit?

thats a good point, may b sum label heads should look at what u jus said there bro

I agree with you on the d/load point, record companys should look at whats being downloaded then make the original artists work easier or cheaper to obtain for everyone, however D&B is one of the few remaining genre's of music still supporting 12's and for that the artists and record companys involved should be supported through the purchasing power of its fan base. The main reason d&b is downloaded is the length of time between a track getting played out on dub and the final release of the product.

I dont agree that hmv or virgin should be stocking d&b 12's purely from a selfish standpoint, that being that I for one want to keep this music as untainted by commerciality as possible. As the music gets a larger purchasing base in shops that have no variety it ends up being only the large releases that are availalble and becoming successful therefor the record companys that have then moved in will only be looking for the next big thing as opposed to allowing creativity in the music, you only have to look at the travesty that is the rise and enventual fall of trance to see this in its worst case. Who really wants to only be able to choose from the top ten?

If your local town doesnt have a decent record shop (luckily mine has selectadisc) its as easy to buy online from the comfort of your work chair... Check www.juno.co.uk or www.kaizenrecords.com, both of which ship internationally and stock everything you could think of.

wow u sikhed ur totally kool! mr info ther innit!!! its tru i spose. we dnt need mre junglist wanabes boppin it round the towns of GB n USA etc lyrically tryna ryhme but reli nt gettin far that pisses me off! i tink dnb sounds beta live cos sum of the stuf recorded by even the top artists sounds beta live.
but yea, record companies shld take notcie of wot fans want reli then they wld do beta and cld buy their kids beta xmas pressie :p aiiii! joker. :rave: :rasta:

yo char. funny u shud say that- went down there the otha day n got cheesegrater by nightwalker 4 99p so it aint all bad! plus they stock all the big dnb releases in the same way they stock house music so it aint bad at all. its all about buyin off the internet really cos even the independent shops round my way dont stock the best releases nowadays

That price sounds about right to me

In Nowrich theres a section in HMV which is OK, the 1 in Virgin is tiny, and we have 2 independants. But I buy online, I dont have to worry about annoying house heads hogging the listening posts, I have an incredible choice of vinyl including promos that just dont appear in the local places. And its a lot cheaper, delivery from some (eg, www.redeyerecords.co.uk) is next day and P&P is about the same as the bus fair so it makes sense to me. I've been buying loads of stuff off ebay coz you get some wicked bargains and you get stuff that is discontinued as well, all the classics.

If you need some more websites (or if you cant find a certain tune) let me know, I am always looking about for stuff and have LOADS of sources, I've found every tune I've wanted so far except 1 or 2, I havent bought them all yet and sometimes they're a little pricey but I found em anyway.

Portsmouth is a joke!!!!

hmv have got rid of their section even tho it was shit anyway. Evolution never had shit and their selection was a bit ..hmmmmmm???????

so thats it its crap! i like groovefinder but ionly for old hip hop rekkids..and i havnt been in there for fukin ages anyway! hands on is too dark n techy! raaaah! i have to go home to get records cos i dont like mail order cos its not veruy fun! i like going into the rekkid shops and digging around.
The best shop in da world fo doing this is Avid in oxford! u can spend hours in that place ! fukkin great! its got hip hop . dnb, old skool (not that i mix old skool), and reggea! plus all the usual crappy trance!!!

raaaaaaah! i hate trance so much!!!

word lokki. goin 2 records is much mo fun than buyin on the net. but i find if im in a shop wiv a phat sound system then every tune they play soundz wikid & i have 2 buy em all lol

i no wotcha all mean bout findin the expericanes differnt frm dwloadin of the net and buying records. Ther is not much of a problem wiv buying the vinals. but the other day i was at my m8s house n his bro is a sikhead mc and i went 2 his room and he has the BIGGEST collection of cnb on tapes. so now i know wher my libary of choons is! tehe (y) ;) :oscar:

that made me fink char... u think record shops like hmv could stock tapepacks cos theyre jus like compilation CDs. but i spose the musics too specialist & they dont seem 2 like tapes in record stores

well i spose. but i remember in my 'youthful' years, wen i was bout 11 (4 yrs ago :321: ) i was at sum place wiv my m8 terry he was bout 16 at the time and he pulled out a tape n stuck it on the stereo we had wiv us n it played sum pretty fuckin excellent jungle. lookin bak i cnt remember wot it was and also i wasnt 2 impressed cos i was so yung. then the tape player fucked up his tape n it came all unraveld... and i was lik.. aw terry ur poor tape, n he sed 'nah bruv dnt worry i got bare at hme i get them frm this wel decent shop in crayford. its a shame they dnt do tapes lik dis in vrigin etc' and wen u sed bout the tapes it jst took me bak, so there has been sum low support demand 4 tapes for years now cos b4 wen tapes was the best and newest technology i bet there was mre choice cos it was esier 2 record on2 (cnt remmeber that far bak) but now cds n stuff it seems that ppl jst want the stuff shiped out in their millions by the record companies. BUT 2 cut an extremly long life story short..... BRING BAK TAPES!!!

or alternativly tune ur radios 2 as many pirate stations as poss and record them onto tapes, then maybe contact the stations and offer 2 promote the tapes bak into the shops!

team work ppl hahahahaha :grouphug:
