what to buy?

i had a demo of a roland mc-307 groovebox, i was most impressed, and i was told the korg electribe er-1 or ea-1 would do the same thing, is this true? are there any better all-in-one production boxes available for a similar price? i want to spend about 300 out for my first piece of kit. help!

yes mate get either the emu orbit (VERY cheap and much value) or the yamaha cs1x (not as cheap but the most value youll ever get out of a synth)
