Stiff Pitch

Mate of mine just purchased a new pitch for his technics 1200's and is saying about it being stiff.. It is brand new not second hand btw.

Any suggestions?

the pitch is stiff because it's brand new and hasn't been worn in

Pull the pitch knob off and remove the little black washer underneath - it helps but you'll need to break them in a bit brother

They are supposed to be like that. Just do a bit of pitch riding and it will loosen up.
