why use a pay service when you can use soulseek :teeth:

aww. The caring junglist.

Tried the netlabels thread on slskboard.savagenews.com (in Electronic section)? There's some stuff in there.

Failing that, you can always pick up stuff like Grooverider's Mysteries Of Funk album off allofmp3.com (I got the entire thing at alt --preset-standard MP3, encoded on the spot by the server for me, for $2.32. The Online Encoding is free, it only costs $0.02 per megabyte if you go with the uber-high quality Online Encoding Exclusive options (where you can download the material at any quality setting in any one of the various formats offered, up to the original .wav files!)

The artists do get paid as well, the site pays the Russian Copyright and Royalties associations monies for every track purchased on there, so it's not just low-cost resale of others' intellectual property. It's not a specialist dnb site, but there's some JD&B stuff on there.

not yet...i hear its good tho

Some have been saying it's a step back in complexity for Autechre, others are loving it, others are hating it. Mixed bag of opinions.

Apparently it is more of dancefloory techno-oriented stylings, but I've not heard it yet. Don't get the copy that's on the web site (forgotten the URL) in a rar file, as some of the files are different from the copy going around on slsk (which has been judged by the forums to be _the_ authentic bootleg).

If you can have an authentic bootleg. :D
