What's up everyone?

Here's what it is. I am doing a project for my International Baccaleureate Music class. The subject is to pick a genre of music you know absolutley nothing about. I chose Drum and Bass, and was wondering if ANYONE would help me in some history, famous artists, underground artists, popular scenes, anything. Even the littlest tidbit would be great. Of course, your knowledge will be cited in my final presentation. If anyone could just drop off a fact, or even a little knowledge, it would be HIGHLY appreciated. Thanks
