DnB help mixing jump up

hey guys,

just wanted to get a little advice about mixing jump up, dunno what i'm doing wrong but it just sounds crap...

dont worry i do know what im up to just wondering is there like a secret technique? what do you guys usually do? ive even tried harmonic mixing but it just gave me a brainache from thinking too much... i wanna get an alternate wobble thing going...any ideas,tips,advice,flamage or even just well constructed insults..

Easiest thing do here mate is upload a 10 minute mix of youre best stuff and then people can see where you are going wrong

inb4 'dont mix jamp ap moite' posts... best advice i can give is use your instinct? there is no 'secret', infact part of being a good DJ is understanding which tunes would work together

i find when mixing jumpup that contrasting tunes are the best mixes. Dont mix one distorted wobble tune with another distorted wobble tune, yagetme? use variation, there's so many different sounds out there atm ur spoilt for choice. but yea as richie said, there's no secret/technique persay, just practice mixes until u find the ones that work well. It is essential to know you're tunes in & out as this will help u decide whilst ur flicking through the crate on the fly....

As freek said, you defo gotta know your tunes..I´m buying and buying but I don´t really get to mix, so the tunes pile up

I slightly disagree here. But I think thats just personal preference. I like a mix where the tunes all sit together, for others it might be boring.

thats a practice i did last night, let me know where im going really wrong, other than the sound quality cus i know thats poor

EDIT: also i've got a gig mixing jump up soon other wise i'd be doing something else even though jump is awesome...
