Belt Drive --> Direct Drive

I've just transfered from belt drive decks to direct drive after 2 years and i've foun in the 2 or 3 weeks i've had them my mixing's got worse. is this because i'm not used to the new decks or cos i'm actually gettin worse!? anyone have any ideas or similar problems themselves?

Prolly cause your not used to it, just keep practising! :)
 
Its probably because your used to harsh, wonky belt drives, and your new direct drives are still a bit too sensitive. Most people's mixing suffers an ickle bit when you upgrade your turntables, especially if your still learning.
 
They will take some getting use to. Personally, I started on directs, whereas a mate of mine has got Belt, and when i got round there, it takes some getting use to, just like it does when i get back to mine.
