Yesterday i noticed that much of the time it seems like sound designers are putting the same samples with a slightly different EQ in sample packs and then slapping different names on them.

Yesterday i downloaded all the demo packs from Prime Loops and realized that those were all I needed. A Kick from the "Future House" pack worked perfectly in a hip hop track with a snare and clap from the "XXL Hip Hip" pack, then i got hi hats from the "Complete 808 and 909" pack. then grabbed another kick and glitched it in my DAW. Now i have a perfect Hip hop track waiting for my buddy to rap over.

Who else agrees with me? ...about the repetitiveness, but with a different name slapped on?

Every one wants to be just exactly like their favorite producer and make the same amount as they do; so they find the same samples, which leads to everyone having those samples. which leads to everyone sounding the same. Lets make ourselves original, and have fun with making music.

Lets turn this into a thread of unique producers.

...I find that underground rap is decently original.
