Why do people not feedback on this forum?

Well, i'm fairly new here (well.. joined today Lol!) and in the whole scene of DNB, but I am sure i could give some feedback to anyone where i think i could give feedback on (even tho if its just "big tune" or wahtever) songs and i'll try to explain why i think this or that.
I'll try to listen and give some once in a while, but i'm pretty busy with school aswell

i won't feedback if its dubstep. but i usually give a lil feedback now n again if its one tune.. can't be assed to listen to 20 tunes at once n feed back on all of them

also, everyone thought the prodigy were shit when they frist started. and look how they turned out.. feedback isn't always a good thing.

imo you get what you give. if i got time on my hands, im givin feedback to as much tunes i can handle - and if i post a tune, i know it will get feedback aswell. all about the ratio, you cant come in here, post 10 tunes and think all youre tunes are getting bare feedback without giving someone advice yourself.

im not a pro at all, and lots of the people on here are way better producers than i am myself - but all of us can say what the liked/disliked when hearing a track.

imo the community on here is not that bad at all, to say the least. generally you get some feedback, doesnt matter if you got 1000 or 10 posts, or if its good or bad. and if your tunes are bad you wont get slaughtered, if its good, people try to give advice on how to get it better tho..

and if youre not getting any feedback or feel like i have to hear what you did, feel free to pm me or post a link on my profile!

i think u are generally right man but lately it seems really dead, i will feedback as many tunes as my head can handle if iv got a bit of spare time, only takes 2 minutes right?
seems a bit dry at the minute though!
alot of lets say leechers not enough seeders if u catch my drift!

ANOTHER reason i don't bother to feedback on some posts, is cos some people are asking for feedback on about 200 fuckin tunez!!! one is plenty thankyou!!!

i just listened to a handful of tracks and they could be the best produced track(s) of its genre ever but musically it didn't appeal to me, i found it mindless repetitive drivel. I wouldn't buy it in a record store, and i wouldn't choose to listen to it ever again. I don't think there is any point writing that in the guys thread - do you ?

BUT to comment on the 'technical' aspects of ; the overall structure/arrangement, the drum pattern/rhythms, the overall sound levels all sounded fine under analysis' but the music just didn't appeal - what do you do ?

Well in that case... just leave a short message.

"track sounds fine/good Prod wise, but isn't my cup of tea"

It doesn't take long to type that and the OP will understand. What people are most annoyed by is seeing hundreds of listens and 5-10 feedback. If someone takes the time to listen to a song even if they're simply fast forwarding through most of it, a simple "liked it/didn't like it" message is all that's necessary. Not everyone requires this, but you get the idea.

If you're going to listen to something, you should say something even if the track doesn't agree with you... it's simply the polite thing to do and in the end will give the OP what he needs - feedback (however small or in depth it may be).

Hi all.
First time i've had a little linger round this proddy forum.
I must admit, it's nice to see so much activity from producers sticking their tunes up and all that.
I linger on the proddy forum on DNBA. And to be honest, it's a little dry most of the time.
Mainly just the same peeps posting up their new bits, which i don't mind at all. Because 98% of them i can comment on positively and enjoy.

But it's just a shame that so many n00bs don't bother signing up over there.

I take it this place attracts a lot more??

I've been rather frightful of giving my 2p on the tunes of this board as i review tracks soley from a listeners prospective.
I have no major musical knowledge so i don't know what i can offer 2bh.

But yeah, you might see me stick my awe in occassionally from time to time. So er, hi and i promise not to get things too wrong lol

when listening to a tune a lot of what i want to say is down to personal taste so a lot of the time i dont think its relevant. just cos the persons drums dont sound like my drums doesnt mean they are wrong you know?

also i listen to tunes on here that i think are just shit and then theres people commenting on them saying 'yeah fucking sick man ill as a hookers asshole yeh boi' and it jus reminds me of that dirty myspace vibe with ppl like 'comment on my pic and ill return the favour...' which i think is disgusting but i might have the wrong end of the stick here so oh well

I agree with this thread,
I must admit sometimes i use dnbshare.com rather than soundcloud or reverbnation,
But i also try to listen and comment back on tunes made,
I guess i just ask for the same back lol

i think it would be an advantage if one could embed the soundcloud player into the post. this works on an german drum n bass forum just with typing " [sc] U R L [/sc]
( for example http://www.future-music.net/forum/showthread.php?t=63766 )

and i like the idea of polls ! just with .. i like .. i dont like ... not my genre...

i think that would make it much more easy, because you just have to make 2 clicks and you dont have to wait that your browser opens a new page ( for example myspace which needs years to load ) and you dont have to think yourself :P

soundcloud + polls = ultra fast and easy :)

ya a tune i posted has over 14 views now and no feedback.. either my tune is complete shit.. or they were lookin for porn.. i dunno. but i love contributing as I am posting here and not just reading and clicking next lol.

you have made 9 posts and you expect to have comments on your tune after 14 views?

you need to get involved.. talk to people.. comment on other prods tunes and then maybe they'll have an interest in listening to your tunes.. until then why should they bother

i agree with this..even though ive only made a few posts, but personally I am trying to get involved and I do comment on other people's tracks...
but it would be nice to get a response for my track lol..especially when people have done less posts than me, have less views and get way more responses!

all i wanna know is do people like the track and/or production?
