Wasp XT sample problem?

Hey, haven't been producing very long at all so it's probably a simple question, but i've created a sort of bassline in Wasp XT. I've also created another part of the bassline in another pattern to play after it. But the bassline i've created in Wasp XT continues to play after the pattern has finished, i've 'cut itself' but it still continues to carry on playing.
Can anyone help? Thanks
