ICYMI, Staple Diet and Intense Records join forces to host what will be the first in a series of events aimed at bringing the community together through music, art, fashion & good times!

Money raised on the day will go towards the UNICEF appeal to support children affected by the recent devastating earthquakes in Nepal www.unicef.org.uk


Attractions include an eclectic mix of activities from some of the leading figures currently helping shape the local pop culture scene:

  • RECORD FAIR
The Dig Over is a record fair with a difference a gaggle of super experienced deejays, producers and dealers including Pete Real (Deal Real Records Soho) Mr.Thing (Scratch Perverts/Doctors Orders/Extended Players) Blokey (Root Beat Records) Dan DNA (MIdnight Selection) DJ Diablo (Roots Manuva/Banana Klan) Matt Love (Issy's Groove) all supplying you with the rarest of vinyl treats new and old from Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Rock, Dance, Blues, Pop you name it we have it covered at bargain prices starting at as little as £1 you never know what you are going to dig up at the dig over but you will leave a little heavier and a lot happier.

  • ART
Mix of LIVE pen battles and artwork for sale from the Moh Teef & Tenbomb crews, as well as individual artists Dan Rawlings, Brave One & more.

  • VINTAGE STALLS
The luscious Lucy Can't Dance & guests provide the Vintage Stalls with a selection of genuine vintage clothing and accessories, plus reproductions from local sellers and designers.

  • FOOD & DRINK
Coffee, cider & local brewed ale all await, with BBQ and mouthwatering organic food from inimitable Clove.


INTENSE RECORDS, are not only hailed for being the only independent record shop in Chelmsford but for also being part of the local electronic music scene for the last 15 years. As well as selling vinyl they'll also be providing the sound system for a selection of the finest local DJs to serve up a choice soundtrack of funk, soul, party hip hop and laid back alternative beats.


And helping keep the community vibe going we have the Melting Pot & STAG hosting a second soundsystem at the Ale House with DJs serving up a one love mix of reggae, ska & roots.
