took on board all feedback and added a hi hat and a cheeky shaker loop, which works nicely with the kick, did some more work on the kick loop, but kept the original groove (so no snare, i'm afraid). shortened the whole track by 4 phases so it never has a chance to get boring and added some techy sweeps into the melody so it's lost the low key vibe but still has the moodiness and forbodding sense that the original had.
still needs a few touch ups here and there, so again, thoughts and advice on finishing it off appreciated.

yeh those gaps have been coloured in nicely mate good stuff. yep im happier with the way this has gone 
shaker is a nice additive too, doesnt get boring
