Sub:side @ Gramaphone- Rockwell, Need For Mirrors, Phil Hustle & Messy MC

May 1, 2010

Heavy beats and dark basslines- Sub:side brings you the finest in fresh and current drum & bass from the best DJs, producers and MCs in the game. After our opening party saw S.P.Y and Judda absolutely smash the place we’re excited to welcome another man of the moment in the form of new Shogun Audio signing Rockwell. With releases this year including the underground anthem “Full Circle” and the groundbreaking “Reverse Engineering”,not to mention a heavy gigging schedule that has seen him grace booths from Fabric and Matter to more recently representing Renegade Hardware at Sun & Bass and Area, Rockwell is truely one of the scene’s trailblazers and his unique sound deserves to be witnessed live! Following hot on his heels we have Need For Mirrors, the experienced production pairing of Mosus and HLZ whose dark yet dancefloor friendly minimalism has earned them widespread support across the scene and a huge collaboration with Stapleton MC in the form of “Greazy”. November 22nd will also see a very special guest grace the Gramaphone as Phil Hustle, boss of Hustle Audio will be down to showcase some of the freshest beats from his own label and beyond- expect beats representing a truly pioneering and modern take on the genre! Finally resident In:Vision will be warming up with his eclectic style and the ever-charismatic D&BTV resident Messy MC will be taking mic duties as usual. Representing beats across the board, this is one Monday night party not to be missed!
