Rhyme and Slang was setup with one goal in mind, to breathe new life into the London bass scene. After years of meaningless stereotypes and invisible boundaries pinned down producers and DJs into playing one particular sound, the UK scene has broken the mould in recent years.

A new generation of dance music enthusiasts took to shaping a new legacy for the youth of today. We at Rhyme and Slang will be bringing together everything...... that is great about the UK movement right now, whilst at the same time being mindful of the time honored traditions of the past.

For our Launch Night we have possibly the biggest UK success story of 2010 in Redlight. Formally as Clipz he wiped the slate clean and followed his passion for forging a new sound in the UK underground. After starting a six month stint as an In New 1Xtra DJ, His Lobster Boy self released EP, was given huge critical acclaim from Journalists, Bloggers and DJs across the dance music spectrum late last year.

He has remixed the likes of Kelly Rowland, Magnetic Man's Top 10 single I Need Air, Donae'o hit I'm Fly and Kano's recent come back single Get Wild; as well as going onto producing new material for Roses Gabor and Mz. Bratt.

His latest single What You Talking About!? featuring Ms. Dynamite was released this week on Chase & Status' MTA Records, and has been smashing up clubs up and down the country since getting it's first radio play at the start of the summer.
