producing with hi-fi speakers

hi people, started gettin more serious about my production now and takin more time processin and eqin all my drums and basses a lot heavier. But i aint got any studio monitors only hifi ones. Is all this eqing and leveling pointless cos the hifi speakers arnt giving an accurate representation of my true sound? Will it automatically sound shit when I get some studio monitors and will I have to start building all my drums and basses all over again from scratch? Or is it merely something that will need a little touch up eq and level wise?

The better you know your speakers / Monitors the better it is, it's possible to make decent mixes if you know how they color the sound.
For instance, i don't have any monitors at all , just HiFi speakers,:

I definitely suggest you invest in proper monitors though, they might make your life a lot easier.
