one turntable is louder than the other

recently I started noticing that one of my turntables is louder than the other, which is quite annoying for mixing. I recently had the needle changed, although in the first few days I didn't notice this

any ideas of what it might be? cheers

when i change my needle it is usually a bit louder jus need to ware it in bro.

Just a few fault finding things you can do too proof out what is the root cause.

First swap over the needles, if the fault transfers to the other turntable with the needle you can pretty much presume that it is the needle.

If the fault doesnt tranfer then swap the turntable channels over, if the fault transfers from on channel to the next with the turntables then you know it is the deck which is causing the problem.

If during both these test you find that the fault stays on the same channel then you can isolate the mixer as the problem.. Hope this helps

Mate i went through about 6 months of this before realising i had the pan set half way over to the left.. FAIL!!

So if your mixer has a pan setting check it!!!

could be the phono lead from the deck as well, i had this problem
