Oldschool jungle track in the making

So I've been wanting to replicate the old style in my own productions, and this is my first try at it. What can I do to make it more authentic to that rough, original sound (other tips for other improvements are cool too).

Honestly, I think you nailed it. Many old school tracks are not the best mixed. It is more about the rhythm than anything.

You made a great track, I think it is hard to replicate the almost wanted distortion of running hardware into mixer.
