Crash Overide has been heavily involved in the Drum n Bass and Rave scene since early 1998. Playing shows from South Carolina to Canada and everywhere in between, this artist has rocked events at well-known venues such as Limelight, Tunnel and Speed of New York City. Crash Overide was raised in northern New Jersey, but the entire tri-state area always felt like home to him.
Being an artist of an underground industry Overide knew he needed to find his style, which would be all his own. This would then help him connect with listeners in the same manner that his influences found him. This emcee once said, “I’ve always tried to just be myself when writing and producing music. I do not want to find my way into a trend or be something I am not. If people feel or believe in my music then that is awesome, because I know my words connect with the many things people deal with in everyday life. If not, no big deal, that’s why there are a lot of us in the music industry right now.”
The style of this mc is unique in the sense that he has a fast, furious flow that was born from learning how to freestyle to Drum n Bass. Learning how to motivate crowds for a DJ and verbally caressing them into a ball of fire was what gave this mc his start. Now taking what he has learned and forming a style that combines the beats of Hip-hop and Drum n Bass, he now brings something different to the table.
