Neve – man or machine? His genuine love of analogue is foretold in his name, yet his beats scream tight and modern. This is a man who prides himself on staying true to his roots whilst always pushing forward. If you have not yet heard his name, it shall not now be forgot.
Italian stablemate Future Roots shows a very different side to himself here than on his previous AutomAte Deep outing. The link though is clear; a love of the old school and a real desire to wring every last drop of potential from the modern studio.

Collaborative Oku storms out of the gate with tight beats, dense sub and boundless energy. This is neuro style drum and bass at its dark, dank best. There’s a very real claustrophobia here; a malevolent force trapped, we hope, for all eternity.
On the flip side, Anaesthetic is more stepper than roller but feels equally close, breathing down our neck, syringe in hand, numbing the pain, leaving us powerless to resist.
