- MALA (DIGITAL MYSTIKZ) [Deep Medi Musik] 90 Minute Set
As part of the Digital Mystikz production unit and label, Mala has practically revolutionized UK dance music. The reverberations of those earliest DMZ platters and their subsequent evolutions have now spread virus-like into new stylistic hosts, with mutant traces assimilated into everything from the new M.I.A album to the Berlin nightscape. With ultra-high production values indebted to the dub and soundsystem culture he grew up alongside, Mala re-encoded the subbass memes of Jungle, Garage and Dancehall into a new form of half-timed pressure, putting emphasis on a slower, dread-infused style of dancefloor tension, now known as Dubstep. Mala has continued to push the deeper side of Dubstep music through his renowned club night 'DMZ' and record labels 'Deep Medi Musik' & 'DMZ'. He is undoubtedly one of the scenes most respected producers (and DJs) and his super-deep cuts are battered by the likes of Kode9, The Bug and Maryanne Hobbs. A 90-minute set from the sub-bass master is frankly not to be missed… ‘Come and meditate on bass weight'

Darkstar are only a few 12's old, but they’re are fast becoming one of the most exciting and important electronic artists in the country. They music stems from the whole post-garage continuum, but it stretches wide and high far transcending the 'dubstep' tag many have pigeon-holed them into. Tipped for greatness by Radiohead, NME and of course Kode9; big things are on the horizon for this forward thinking production duo and their unique brand of 'Android Machine Soul'. Keep your eyes peeled for a debut album set to drop on 'Hyperdub' later this year!

DOKKEBI Q (LIVE) [3qReq]
Dokkebi Q refers to a mischievous and mythical being in Korean folklore and reflects this duo’s mixed Japanese/Korean heritage. The pair consists of Kiki Hitomi (also of King Midas Sound and Black Chow) who can uncannily flip from sweet 'n dreamy vocals to mutilated shriek at the touch of a button. Gorgonn is responsible for the punkdub production, touching on The Bug’s bashy sound, mixed up with eccentric splurges and laced together with a dancing dub sensibility. The results found on their recent album 'Hardcore Cherry Bon Bon' are extreme, restless and thrillingly unstable. Dokkebi Q will be performing songs from their album LIVE! Not to be missed.

Duffsteps productions slip effortlessly between dark and light. His sound incorporates a myriad of dub influenced, down tempo beats and soothing sonic backdrops, melodies, synths and vocals. Warm and fuzzy edges soften his sound, before a hefty bassline knocks you back. Duffstep will be performing live tracks form his forthcoming album ‘Getting To Sirius’.
