I have 2, 3 didn't look like it added anything truly usefull and I don't like the new GUI.


The sound at 6 is Subtractive synthesis and can be done with all of the synths you have. With the right filter, the "nastyness" can be had without using any distortion, but it sounds like Pendulum used some distortion on his patch.

Have a look through your presets and you'll find something similar... then tweak it to sound the way you want.

if its an alien girl bass you want b-complex pretty much nailed it with z3ta+ and you can download it from doa

Honestly... the first time I saw the GUI for 3, I wanted to puke... so I only glanced over the new features. Maybe I'll grab 4 when that comes out... same thing for Absynth 4, I've stayed with 3.

If/when they come out with features that I 'must' have, I'll upgrade.
Hell, I'm still on Live 3, fyi.
