many many many many hours just get at it dont fallow rules stick to guide line but dont be afraid to be different . Id say all you need to to make it your life not a hobby dont be worried about what people think or say just try new things till you find what your sound is or what works for you . big ups to all you up and coming producers i love you all .

thats very well and nice man, but the question was how did you get into production

basically, keep fucking around and going 'shit, did I just do that?' :teeth:
but ok, first with trackers like fasttracker 2 and a pile of proper lofi 8 bit mods which I got from a mate. around that time I heard jungle and dnb for the first time, and my sole mission became to be able to make dnb. then years later I used impulse tracker 2 (because it had a lowpass filter and was much more versatile than ft2), and when VSTs got invented and implemented into fruity that was the way to go for years until recently I rediscovered tracking thanks to ReViSiT hooked into shortcircuit and cubase.
