ive asked about this before, but you know the sound thats used alot just before the drop, where the pitch rises to add tension? what kind of sounds are used for that? sine waves don't seem to do the trick.. ive been experimenting, but has anyone got any tips? cheers!

not sure what type of sound to use to make them urself as i use presets
fx normally do it pretty well and use a pitch bend to give it more build up
also turn the attack switch on the filter (if the synth has 1) all the way right and the one on the amp left
