I was wondering if I could get some help with some notations. I was reading up on some scoring for drums and wanted to know how to replicate the pattern in a step seq. I really do not care what DAW you use its all about common sense I believe. I think this pattern

has like 1 e and a 2 e or something I would like to know how to do this the right way. Like I try to take my Piano, Guitar, and etc and play and use what I learned through my life.. and put it into the seq. I have no idea if this is a stupid ? But shit I am not scared to ask :)

I cant read music but as far as i know, each note/quavery thingy has its own note length, as do those dashes to represent silence. If you send me your email address ill send you an ebook which explains what each symbol means in terms of drum processing
