Empathy Digital salute drum n bass with their debut release from long serving soldier of the New Zealand club scene - DJ TREI. Trei has been making serious waves during the past two years both within New Zealand and overseas.
Trei made his mark on the New Zealand scene at the 2004 'Rumble in the Jungle' competition. Since then he has become a regular feature on the drum n bass circuit, with regular appearances at gigs such as Digital Breaks and the legendary Bass Frontiers Sessions. He has also played alongside some of the biggest names in drum n bass including Friction and MC SP, Hype, Digital, Fierce, Zinc, Concord Dawn, Pendulum, and Mampi Swift and IC3. You will find his tracks in the playlists of some of the biggest touring DJ's.
This release features two slickly produced dancefloor tunes - Heartbeat / Virginia. Featuring subtle vocals, warm distorted basslines and tightly programmed beats, this is one release you'll definitely wanna add to your collection.
