Ed Rush & Optical (aka Ben Settle e Matt Quinn) are two of the most important names in the drum and bass scene. They created the darkest form of drum and bass; a form forged with extreme rhythms, deep and full-bodied basses, and sharp frequencies.
The English duo can only be described by the adjective "dark". They can be considered responsible for the initial turn to and the recent return to "dark" drum and bass. They have proven their success by winning the attention and esteem of some of the most prestigious drum and bass labels such as Metalheadz, Prototype,
and amongst other things, they were able to create their own label, "Virus Recording," in 1998.
