Anyone able to point me in the direction of how to create some industrial percussive stab sounds? kinda like stuff out of artists like clarity or overlook on the more minimal side of dnb.

    Cheers

use a convolution reverb, virtually anything can be turned in to a stab.

I would start by sampling some chords staps you like from some other tracks.

Also, Free sound has lots http://www.freesound.org/search/?q=stabs

Any oldschool sample cds are a good bet if you can get hold of any, look for Emu, yamaha or Akai sample cds that were bundled with the old samplers.

I find a lot of Industrial sounds from cinematic sample packs.

Also Pakotec and Samplephonics have a lot of packs that would relate, though they aren't free packs.
