connecting laptop to stereo

ive got a usb link on my stereo and im wondering how and wat software i need to record onto the laptop through the stereo? there was a program that came with the stereo but it is for playing audio files you have on your laptop through your stereo not the reverse, any help much apreciated!

u should have one in your laptop already, ull just have to go into your volume controls on the laptop wire up the mixer to the comp and find out what channel its running to on the volume controls
