Shoot The Freak is returning once again to Basement 45 for what is going to be their biggest party yet. Over the last 14 months the STF collective have been building their nights with bigger and bigger line-up and are now ready to host one of the biggest parties Basement 45 has seen all year.
This night is all about diversity, the all-star line up is a spectacular array of Drum and Bass and Dubstep talent, ranging from heavy jump up to deeper styles.
V Recordings label boss and legendary DJ, Bryan Gee will headlining the main room.
Next up is the Bristol debut appearance of the new star of D&B, Rollz from Formation records. Rollz has been releasing some seriously good tunes lately. His debut single 'Plugged In' was included in Zane Lowe's 'Hottest Records in the World' for three weeks running and he was Grooverider's Drum and Bass tip for 2010. His new EP which includes ‘Sustain’ and ‘Addict’ is set to be one of the biggest D&B releases of the year.
Also in the main room we have D-Style and Hench’s bad boy producer Eddie K. Eddie is not only one of Bristol’s best new producers but a dance-floor smashing DJ.
With all these world class DJ’s you’re going to need an MC to match. That’s where Fearless comes in. The double award winning MC will be making his first Shoot The Freak appearance.
The second room will be more diverse, with Dubstep, Jungle and different styles on D&B. Producer, DJ and label boss Forsaken of Soul Motive Records will be headlining the second room. Championed by Mary Ann Hobbs, Forsaken is taking Dubstep to new realms.
As well as the big names Shoot The Freak boasts a great selection of resisdent DJs and MCs to kick things off. All in all Saturday 23rd October is set to be a good night so come down and check it out.[/B]
