Hybrid “I Choose Noise” on Distinctive
This limited edition triple pack is bound to get snapped up quickly. Hybrid have amongst other notches on their belt, made soundtracks for Ridley Scott. But this triple pack will be appealing to the dancefloor with its infectious beats. “Dog Star” has Perry Farrell on vocals, and is no doubt a favourite with a host of top DJ’s. Judie Tzuke gets on the Mic for “Falling Down” which is again going to be one of those epic Ibiza anthems, and a huge trance track.
“Dream Stalker” is more edgy and underground. Fat breakbeats and a doom laden guitar riff make this a simple but deep tune. Kirsty Hawkshaw joins Hybrid for “Just for Today”. It’s one of those head candy nice tracks that uses loads of swirly electronic sounds and dreamy vocals to sound very nice. It works.

Freeflow 45 “Low Contour” on Ibreaks
Freeflow comes with the underground breaks, a perfect combination of crystal beats and squelching acid mids. Tech funk sound effects give this the headspace whilst a pulsing house bassline adds the pressure. Move Ya & Steve Lavers get on the dials to give this track a retouch on the Flip. The first thing that strike you is the impact of the beats. This is a serious bit of frequency Equalisation. Staying close to the original, it’s a case of tweaks and touches rather than a complete rework.

Deibeat “Time to Rock” I Breaks Funk
This sister imprint is sounding as fat as the main stable. Deibeat bring in a nice funky technoid steppa with infectious party vocals. Big breakdowns lead into bigger breakdowns. A dirty funky sub will get that crowd moving.
The Drummatic Twins relick this on the flip. Following a similar arrangement, they take this more towards a mad electro funk direction on the drop. Mad reel business.
