Surrounded in controversy, Nick Burne’s rise as ‘Data’ through the ranks of Drum & Bass production spawned a whole new generation of production and engineering approaches. Now in 2014, with releases on some of the biggest labels around and his album ‘Making Simple Things Complex’ under his belt, Nick reveals his new alias, Nick Modern showcasing new techniques and sounds. Nick has also worked as an engineer and ‘button pusher’ in the studio for several acts. DJ Emma G is one of only a handful of well-respected female DJs from New Zealand. Dubbed ‘Golden Girl’ of the local D&B scene, she is the former Auckland house queen, and more recently renowned for rocking out her signature sound of upbeat, soulful drum & bass in clubs and on radio. Busy making moves and grooves around the Northern Hemisphere, the esteemed Integral imprint has taken Emma G on as label manager and she is regularly being snapped up to play sets around Europe; highlights include BEATPATROL festival in Austria and the legendary SUN AND BASS.
