Advice on ripping to MP3

I have a few packs id like to upload, the tracks on some of the CD's are single tracks ( not continuous ) but its a continuous mix if you like

What is the best way to rip them so each set is one MP3 file?

Having listened to the mixes just now id alsolike to be able to normalize the levels as they are a bit high

Any help would be great ie software to use as i have not done it before

Sony Soundforge is good for splitting files.

they are already split on the CD mate, id like to rip one CD ( 12 tracks ) to ONE MP3 hour set

use a wav editor or something like that, I imagine if soundforge can split mp3's it will also be able to merge them aswell.
