This is a mix that has been sitting on a DAT tape for the past 6 years. I think it made an appearance on DOA at the time as a shitty little RA file but thats about it. I'm offering it now at 256kbps MP3. Even at this the sound isn't as good as I would like it as this was mixed on my old Gemini mixer which did not have EQs on each channel so I couldn't cut the bass on the incoming tracks and what not. I thought this would have ment that this mix would sound like shit but actually after listening to this mix for the past two weeks, its actually very good. Theres also actually a Korg Kaoss pad to help with some transitions. Its tastefull kaoss pad usage though, not like what Raymond did on that Harder They Come CD.

Anyway this is 2000-2001 DNB just when it was starting to really get good again for a short time. This is what I would call 'Ardkore revival DnB or something like that. Its DNB that realizes it had been crap for many years and was jelous of the 1992 revival parties that had been going on. This is DNB that wishes it was 1992 again and as a result, I had to buy it because it was so cool.

Unfortunatly this revival lasted till 2003 when it all went to that gay clownstep but...

:violin: yeah whatever.... yes I'm bitter about this.

U da man ...(again & again & again). Love it all, original hardcore, jungle, DnB. Got a program to download all my old vinyl but due to work, wife, kids etc haven’t had a chance to. Gave my decks up years ago (along with Sunday football, pubs, clubs, pills etc) & to be able to download this & all your other stuff is excellent. Cheers bud.

Just listened to the mix.. a set of good tunes it is :)

Deffo Drum 'n' Bass that's influenced by UK Hardcore; rave stabs, mentasm and other nice things are all here, but I wouldn't call it a straight revival, 'cos all those tracks still keep that DnB vibe, they don't go all retro like the currently trendy shitty dance music does.

I also heard the new Hardcore stuff that sound like they were made in 1992, that is a real revival ;) they do quite good stuff.
Could you please provide the tracklisting for this mix? Some tunes in there I'd really like to know their names.

Peace

OK, I just spent an hour of my life making that tracklisting using the MP3, my memory, and mostly Discogs.com's database. That was not fun.
