When is Sub Focus' - 'Robot Rock' 'Rock on' or 'Rock it' coming out?

I think most people couldn't give a fuck about the album as a whole. Most of the songs have been rinsed to death

Nobody gives a fuck about the album?

Then why is everyone constantly going on about it?!

Why is this thread 7 pages long?!

How many different DJs have been playing out the majority of the tunes on the album? Hardly any so how could the tunes really have been rinsed?!

I think you'll find a lot of people give a fuck about the album!

It's gonna be heavyyyyy :)

Everyone is going on about it because:

A) It's on Ram
B) People seem to think he's some sort of genius when in reality he makes dancefloor friendly/commercially appealing dnb. There is nothing innovative to his music
C) It's years overdue hence the massive hype (See Duke Nukem Forever for a video game comparison)
D) He's released a few good songs and clips of 5 or 6 of the songs featured on the album have been on youtube for months if not years
E) Its' on Ram

Needs more tracklist and audio clips of all the songs before I can judge it properly.

All Ram releases get so much hype deservedly or not, especially on here... this one's grown on me quite a lot, but I still think the drop's lacking something.

Sub Focus does experiment a fair bit within reason - Timewarp properly broke the mould for a dancefloor tune, but you have to be fair and admit he's made dancefloor tracks since day one.

So clearly people are bothered about it.

The album will pale in comparison to other dnb artists albums, full of dancefloor smashers with very little substance in between I think.

I actually am not a fan of producers releasing artist albums, an l.p is fine, but in my eyes artist albums are meant to be conceptual and have a steady flow, otherwise its just pop.

There are some artist albums on this list that are sure to get your juices flowing. However, I'd say the likelihood of even 50% of these seeing the light of day this year is small.

Those are the ones that I know of and have an interest in, the Calibre one isn't an album though, I've got it already and its an l.p of his unreleased stuff to date.

Most of these are more just collections of the tracks these artist have produced, not so much conceptual albums... if you know what I mean. Not saying they should be anything like Pink Floyd's Darkside of The Moon, but should at least have a common theme.

But cheers for the list, a great bunch to look forward too!
