What to get for recording mixes

So I'm looking to get something to record my mixes on, I'm wanting something that is portable and I can just plug into a mixer anywhere rather than just recording onto my computer, I did a search and read through stuff but the two main suggestions are discontinued. Doing some reading elsewhere brought up this looking like the thing to get.

So firstly anyone got this? Would you recommend it? The other thing is since I don't produce I can't see myself using the microphones so it feels like I'm going to be spending a lot of money on features I won't use, has anyone got any recommendations for anything which skips that and just records from cables?

Any help much appreciated, want to listen back to recording my mixing so that when it inevitably sounds terrible I can work on it :)

Those tascams are supposedly pretty awesome
Other than that, maybe...
minidisc player? cable and an app on your phone? iRig?
