Post video sets of yourself mixing here

What do you do when EQing?
I see a lot of people just adjust the bass when mixing and the snares and high hats end up sounding really harsh.
I never have both treble eqs sitting at 0 at the same time, unless it at an interlude.

Im no pro, but i always have the high/mid cut a bit on the track i'm bringin in, then ill gradually increase them at the same time i decrease the high/mids on the out going track, until its sounds nice and balanced in the mix, then swap bass at the drop,

watch out, heavy basslines!

tracklist:
Wickaman -- kermit
Delta heavy -- abort
Camo & krooked -- get funky
Prolix -- brain damage
Ill.skillz vs. Logistics -- gridline
Ed rush -- arcadia

^^^^^Dude, you are pretty good.

However, you touch the records/platter too much. Use your pitch shifter to get things locked, it's good practise not to push the record/touch the platter once that turntables volume is coming through the main.

Do you know the percentage of your push/touch?

Use the pitch....it's your friend.

Bombaclaat! Big up yer chest yout man!

Listen...I know nowadays it's all about the hectic style but if you jam two fucking tunes together like you did with 'Turn down the Lights' & 'Crying Out' dont finish the mix first time...if you're enjoying it pull the second tune back on the first tune's drop and start it again.

Dont rush for the sake of it...style is gully mate!

i would of done if i was out and about but its a youtube video so i would prefer to fit another tune in to show off more selecta.

Seen...keep it up mate.

Been listening to your reggae vibes set for time...respect due! Cheers for dropping that random dubstep tune at the end 'coz I'd never heard of Tes La Rok until then...been having untold fun with his tunes. Big up.

thanks, and that random dubstep track has had mixed feedback lol i dropped my mix on Champion sounds page and was so stoked by him listening and commenting on it he loved the mix except "that shitty random dubstep track at the end" but im glad you liked it :) To be honest it was only thrown in there to test out a little sample app on my itouch to see if i could use it to go from dnb to dubstep smoothly. and i had heard of tes la rok for a while but had never listened to his tracks untill i saw that track advertised on dnb arena and being a little ragga addict i had to give it a try

The app works a treat.

Dont listen to him mate...anyone who doesnt like that tune has clearly had a fun bypass. I pissed myself laughing the first time I mixed it (and his Eek-a-Mouse ting) into Voodoo Magic Foul Play mix (dont know if your tunes stretch back that far?). Changes in tempo can be very amusing...ultimately it's all about the vibe.

*clears floor area*

'Yeah! yeah! yeah! yeah! yeah!...were di traffic stoppa der!'
'Yeah! yeah! yeah! yeah! yeah! where di traffic stoppa der!'

Nuff said.

yeah i was plesently suprised :)
The apps by "krafty kuts" and is called "Against the grain" its a good little dj tools sampler, there are 2 improvments needed, one is to allow you to re arrange the samples in your own order and two is the ability to upload your own samples

'Yeah! yeah! yeah! yeah! yeah!...were di traffic stoppa der!'
