It’s been a long time coming, but the duo have finally decided to expand their brand and stamp a new imprint on the Drum & Bass scene. After carefully sifting through recent music of theirs, it’s been decided that a couple of their personal favourites will be best to launch the label. Going out with a bang, you’re in for a real treat! Before you hear what’s in store, take yourself back to the 2008 era when you have the likes of hard rollers with fierce and gritty basses. Picture that – but with a new and exciting twist. Samy Nicks & Rekwest are reviving the classic rolling sound, but with an up-to-date punch packing track titled ‘The Regrettables’!

From the moment you press the ‘play’ button you are exposed to musical pads and ‘stabby’ trance synths. There’s no messing about when it comes to the build up as this track can be perfect for an opener to any DJ set. With the classic full rounded sound of the drums slowly filtering in, you will reach the climax of the rollercoaster plummeting into a fierce and gritty bassline. This track is destined to keep you on your toes with the constant bass switches and 808s incoming from all angles. Perfect for any drum & bass DJ, this tune is not to be ignored as it will certainly pack a punch on the loud system!

To balance the A side, Sam and Tom delve into the minor keys with ‘Pandemonium’, introducing with an eerie build up followed by some classic strings and a twisted vocal to compliment. This tune focuses on the strength of the ‘more simplified but weighty’ drum pattern, along with a nasty gritty bass. As the tune slowly progresses, the synths twist and tangle adding extra additions along the way. The tune is perfect for adding a march to the dance floor with its stomping drums – give it a play, you might agree!

You can find the release on all major music sites including: Juno, Beatport, iTunes, Amazon, Track it Down etc. We hope you will be pleasantly satisfied with the first imprint to land on the duo’s label Amusement Audio, with many more to follow!
