You've Heard all before but big probs recording to LapT.

I got Pioneer 600 mixer, Sony Laptop using Audacity. Also have Nero.

Setup from record out to mic input. I have set all the levels on my laptop to the lowest possible. Also on Audacity The levels I have set really low to avoid clipping.

I still hit the red. What am I doing wrong.

I have tried recording from the booth out which I can adjust so it doesnt clip, but then the sound is really bassy and not clear at all.

If I have the AC Power into my laptop then its all over as it records so much distortion.

If someone knows how to sort this out. Just wanna record a set and its a complete nightmare.

Connect into your line in on your monitor. If you don't have one, buy an external USB sound card for 10 quid.

mate goto nakedbeatz.com and get yourself a cheap soundcard. Will make everything a whole lot better!!

Yup they summed it up...u gots to go buy a sound card..recording into the line input on your pc will only frustrate you and give u distorted sound.
