We all like a drink. Just wondering what everyones favourite tipple is?

    Mine:

Single malt scotch whisky with distinctive flavour such as Laphroaig. I'm especially partial to the Macallan.

Large bottles of lager such as 'San Miguel', or more recently 'King Cobra (uk)'. The 1.5 litre bottles of Grolsch are pretty good too.

There is a brewery 5 minutes walk from my house. Bathams Bitter and Mild - the perfect pint.

The Margarhitas made by my mrs. - vodka, tequila, triple sec, lemon & lime juice, ice rinsed in the food processor.

Smoky strong belgian lagers. Fresh blonde belgian lagers. Belgian lagers basically, preferably made by monks.

The micro brewery range of lagers from Sainsburys.

We've been partial to crates of Becks Vier and Stella Peeterman - although despite being refreshing and easy drinking, we don't appear to be able to get drunk on these no matter how may cans we drink.

Anyone else have any snobby drinking tastes?

Glenlivet, Laphroaig and expensive Belgian beer equals heaven.

Stella & San Miguel or Czech lager = drink all night and talk crap all night.

But for serious drinking and bullshitting, Jack and Coke can't be beat.

Ah and I challenge anybody to a Long Island Ice Tea or Szpila drinking session. I'll fall over but so will you.

    :word:

disagree. JD is just a cheap blend aint it? and to mix any whisky with poky rola is a crime! (and makes nasty sweet, yet burning vomit)

LIIT - have to challenge me mrs!

Szpila - never heard of it and i'm scared. Sound good! :alchy:

    Staropramen is excellent.

Peroni, expensive snobbish lager but it is smooth as hell. San Miguel is still better.

As far as JD with coke is concerned, bourbon is good with a mixer. I would never mix scotch with coke (apart from crap like JW Red and Black, etc).

A Szpilka is: JD, JW Red, tequila, vodka, triple sec and coke.

Drink two and you are sozzled.

I'm not going to claim I can beat anybody in a drinking contest. I much prefer to ration my drinks and have a great time for a long time. Quality over quantity. But if I get drunk drinking, then so will you.

Oh and at 16... I couldn't tell good beer from cat piss.

We were drinking LIIT with my mrs, a friend and her gfriend in Prague.

The girls ended up crying on a bridge heading home on their own, I got overcharged by a taxi driver heading for a disco with a barmaid and my friend got his wallet nicked by a different taxi driver.

Ah, the good old days. :rolf:

Love strong-brewed ales and beers, German and Belgian are my faves, particularly Duval and Paulaner Brauhaus. Can't beat tins of good old Red Stripe either.

I like a drop of single malt from time to time, I like Laphroaig and Tobemory (although the Tobemory is kinda hard to find now, only person I've seen with it is my dad). Don't mind a drop of Chival Regas either.

Also don't mind a bit of Remy Martin, although I've had some of my worse hangovers after drinking Brandy, so I tend not to so much now.

As for cocktails, I like White Russian (vodka, Kahlua, milk and crushed ice) or my bastardised version, The Pink Pugsley (Malibu, Absolut Vanilla and Yazoo Strawberry milk). For those with a sweet tooth but can still knock you on your arse.
Also, since living in China, I've become quite partial to Chivas or Johnny Walker mixed with sweetened green tea. Sounds bleugh but is actually really good. Bit of a tragedy to mix with the Chivas though.

I will take you up on that challenge at some point, love Long Island Ice Teas (y)
