I have to agree with Papa that the Wayne Smith computerised sleng teng is best.

Does anyone know what the first digital hip-hop tune was? Was it Planet Rock?

i think it was always sample based, but lots of the stuff round 84 was just a drummachine a dj and a rapper, like T La Rock (its yours)
that sound just never turned me on very much.
