A mate of mine is looking to buy a dj controller and i would imagine he is willing to spend a fair amount of money on one due to selling his technics for it (he doesnt want to keep spending money on vinyl and DVS is looking a bit pricey. Are they all pretty pants or if you spend a decent amount of money can you get one that is genuinely worth buying? I've told him its probably best to steer clear but thought id make a thread just incase it may be worth it for him.

Please feel free to drop a few links in here i can send his way to some good stuff/ideas. Cheers!

i have a Torq Xponent, feels like 2 CDJ's, and a full pitch fader (alot are small and inaccurate) but i am happy with it, all knobs are easily mappable and they are not overly priced, but if ya wanna spend a bit there i would look at the traktor Kontrol.

Budget/quality wise here is what I found was the best when looking for my controller :-

Up to £750 go for the NI Traktor S4 (comes with Full Traktor Pro 2 program) (Only neg is that its a bit too big!)

Up to £500 go for the NI Tracktor S2 (As above) (THE ONE I CHOSE AFTER ALL MY SEARCHING AND TESTING!)

or A&H xone DX (Comes with Serato Itch)

Up to £300 go for the Numark Mixtrack Pro (Comes with Virtual DJ OR Traktor 2 LE, But just upgrade to Pro 2 and you will be away!!)
