Let's clear one thing up first; i'm not that into the 'scene' and i don't dj.
Now my question is, why is there so much hate for anything remotely "mainstream". just because something is no longer 'underground' it has to be bad? i've noticed this a lot from reading both here and on DOA. anything that enters the charts or gets played more than a few times seems to be instantly hated and people go on about "rinsing it out" or whatever. i notice this with people who like dance etc too. when twist em out came out i seem to remember a lot of people saying how new and different it was, and there was loads of love for it. then the whole "clownstep" thing seemed to take off and everyone hated twist em out, bodyrock and the rest because they fitted into that stupid subgenre and were quite sucessful out of the 'underground'. funny how everyone's tastes changed overnight.
what happened to music being music? nothing (aside from pop music or whatever) is bad - people's tastes differ. it seems the dnb scene can't understand this. maybe it's just my view as more of an outsider but there seems to be too much negativity.
maybe i'm talking shit, i dunno. some clever fucker will probably rip my post to shreds..
