What a wicked night.
I've not been to Herbal before, but was pleasantly surprised. It is like a small Fabric for those who have not been. It also boasts a rather fat sound system which is really heavy in this smaller venue.
Didn't get to stay all night, but saw Crossfire and Goodfella, Universal Project and John B, who all performed wicked sets.
Most notable parts of the night while I was there came during John B's set where he played Barrier Break followed by an Electro/Dn'B version of Mickey by Toni Basil (Oh Mickey , you´re so fine, you´re so fine you blow my mind , hey Mickey , hey Mickey), whilst doing a "humping Dylan dance". (Quite funny to watch the MC chatting over the top aswell!)
He also played "Blandwagon Poos", which got rewound after much whistling and cheers. It was a new version with added "answer phone talk", which Mr. B mimed to.
I'm sure the other sets were just as good. Would loved to have stayed longer, looking forward to the next one.
