You're probably going to the wrong nights mate. But yeah I agree on the DJ thing, there are only a handle of decent DJ's playing out and about regularly
depends really what kind of techno mate ... from gabba, to hardstyle , to speedcore , to frenchcore , minimal techno , industrial, breakcore .. the list goes on and on .. depending how fast you want the bpm .. or heavy you want the bass ... or if you like trancey parts to it ... im into it .. have been for years ... im more into hardtrance / hardstyle side of it ... where you from .. ill let you know bout some raves ... link me some youtube vids of what you like the sound of , and ill suggest some producers / dj's
well, anything from The Field for some stellar dreamy minimal techno, incredible sample wizardy and overall vibe. Ricardo Villalobos' Alchachofa obviously, if you want to hear why Resident Advisor chose it as the album of 00's. Nicolas Jaar's debut album for some forward thinking, organic druggo slow dance techno. Deadbeat and Rhtyhm & Sound for sublime dub techno Ben Klock's LP for more traditional but still fresh techno. either of Shed's albums for some more of that, although maybe a bit more daring and innovative. Villalobos' Thé Au Harem D'Archimède ain't bad either if you're interested to wander deeper into his catalogue. Roman Flugel's Fatty Folders and Andy Stott's Passed Me By / We Stay Together were also highlights of 2011 techno output. oh, and Pantha du Prince is also one hell of a producer of dreamy minimalism with techno pulse for housier vibes of more or less recent times check out the following LPs: Omar-S' It Can Be Done But Only I Can Do It, John Talabot's fin, John Roberts' Glass Eights and Christopher Rau's Asper Clouds. then there's Maya Jane Coles and Space Dimension Controller who have released EPs worth a check. then there's these recent cross-over/we-don't-care-about-genres releases: Sepalcure's s/t, Machinedrum's Room(s), Actress' Splazsh, Flying Lotus' Cosmogramma (check his previous albums too). umm, and some wonky and post-dilla beathead shit if you care for that: Rustie's Glass Swords, Mux Mool's - Planet High School, OL's Random Phrase EP (this russian fella is on fire, he'd actually be as recocnized as FlyLo if he'd live in states) Raime is good too
Head to berlin if you can afford to. Berghain is quite possibly the maddest place ever... My friend has been to a club called Tresor in berlin and she said it was the nutts. Berghain / Tresor are like fabric to techno fans.
thats a mix of a few diffirent style .. if thats not what you mean , you may mean abit more commercial .. or more on the hardhouse perspective .. check tidyboys n them lot .. i dunno really ... its like saying ' name some dnb songs ' .... well, jump up to liquid to techstep dark gritty rip ure face off tech itch calyx or logan d jump up or what .. such a big vary ... and even mmore in techno believe ... italians / french / and defiantly the Germans do the techno the best .. link me some youtube shizz .. and ill let ya know what it is ure looking for , best i can .. im kinda stuck on the northern scene of a select few djs, but am sure i can help .. or my mates will ---------- Post added at 18:33 ---------- Previous post was at 18:29 ---------- or do you mean more chilled prog minimal shizz ?? ---------- Post added at 18:48 ---------- Previous post was at 18:33 ---------- or perhaps this cheesey bullshit ? or maybe this brain altering shit see its all techno, and in the same family .. hardstyle more part of hardtrance tho .. but still has the elements and formation and repetition of techno 4 bar structure etc .. you need to post some youtube vids, so we can tell what techno ure into ... im getting into tribal house at the mo .. try this http://www.house-mixes.com theres a techno section .. but try a few different genres .. see how ya get on ---------- Post added at 18:51 ---------- Previous post was at 18:48 ---------- http://www.beatport.com/ also

i was just fukin around wiv the new app and came across techno radio stations. I think it's minimal techno but the beats are relatively fast and some of dem are propa dark. Thas wat im in to, not experienced enuff to know the correct terminology. if anyone has got tha app or somethink its Techno.FM Techno.
Funkagenda - Mixing Dusty Kid - Producing I know Dusty has been pretty quiet but I'm not a massive afficionado. Just love dark/minimal stuff
